The hearth has always been a place of gathering, storytelling, nourishment and transformation. It is where we warm ourselves, tend the fire and return when the world feels too heavy.
Anam Hearth was created in that spirit: a place for those navigating change, healing, recovery and becoming. A place to pause, to be witnessed and to remember that even in the dark, the fire still burns.
For generations, the hearth has also been a place of witness, a place where grief, joy, loss, healing and change could be carried in community and held with care.
Beyond survival, the myth begins.
Trauma-informed, relational care held with warmth and skill.
Trauma-informed therapy and integrative coaching for those navigating grief, recovery, overwhelm, identity shifts and long seasons of endurance. Practical, embodied and held with warmth, humor and respect for the nervous system.
Support for clarity, direction and becoming.
‍ ‍Forward-facing, non-clinical support for those navigating identity, vocation, neurodivergence, burnout or spiritual development. Collaborative, reflective and grounded in respect for your capacity, this work supports meaningful change without bypassing the realities that shaped you.
Descent, devotion and the long memory of the soul.
Personal myth work, ancestral healing, Reiki, astrology, ritual, meditation, pathworking, divination and symbolic practices for those drawn toward deeper meaning, transformation and the stories living beneath the surface of ordinary life. This is underworld-facing work that honors story, lineage, paradox and the dark feminine
Gather at the fire..
Seasonal circles, trauma-informed workshops and retreats rooted in ritual, embodiment, communitas and shared witness. Spaces for breath, reflection, movement, storytelling and honest connection. This is where grief and gratitude, laughter and truth are held together by the hearth.
About Anam Hearth
Anam Hearth was born from the belief that healing is not only psychological and medical, but embodied, relational, symbolic and deeply human. That there are some experiences which cannot be healed through logic alone, but must also be witnessed, felt, carried and transformed.
This is a trauma-informed, embodied and mythic healing space for those navigating life's threshold moments - grief and recovery, loss and renewal, identity shifts, neurodivergence, illness, uncertainty and the long work of becoming.
Here, psychology, story, ritual and the wisdom carried in the body gather around the hearth fire.
Rooted in both the practical and the unseen, this work weaves together nervous system healing, embodiment, ancestral remembering, symbolism and mythic meaning-making - tending the places where grief and gratitude, survival and transformation, often sit side by side.
Anam Hearth was created for those who find themselves in the dark places between what was and what comes next. It offers spaces that are grounded enough to feel safe and spacious enough for deeper truths, deeper healing and the slow, sacred work of finding your way back to yourself.
A little about Shannon
Shannon Hays is a therapist, healer, storyteller and guide drawn to the places where healing and mystery meet. The thresholds between grief and gratitude, ruin and rebirth, survival and becoming.
Her work weaves together nearly twenty years of clinical experience with embodiment practices, nervous system healing, mythic frameworks, meditation, yoga, ancestral wisdom and Celtic folk traditions. Deeply influenced by story, symbolism, ritual and the long memory carried in the body, she creates spaces that are grounded enough to feel safe and spacious enough for transformation.
Part therapist, part hearth-tender and part guide through life's darker passages, Shannon has never been afraid of the places where people are asked to let go of who they have been before they can discover who they are becoming. Her work is for those who find themselves between worlds - no longer who they once were, not yet fully who they are becoming.
This is work for the tender-hearted, the exhausted, the deeply feeling, the ones who have survived, adapted, shape-shifted, disappeared, rebuilt themselves and are still searching for a more honest way to belong to their own lives. It is work rooted in the belief that even in life's darkest seasons, meaning, connection and transformation remain possible.
